Slalom is a style of skating that has been around for many years and involves weaving in and out of cones. The goal is to not hit any cones and get to the bottom as quickly as possible. There are varying disciplines of slalom – the biggest difference being the distance between the cones. Tight Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super Giant Slalom, or Banked Slalom. Racers are penalized for hitting cones along the way. Typically, slalom skateboards are regarded as some of the weirdest, techiest setups in the industry. Most are set up to turn extremely tight, have narrow trucks, and grippy wheels, but outside of that the variations are many.
